No heat from front blowers

Post by bazzog » Mon Dec 22, 2025 8:49 am

I have a 1999 2.5 td and I'm not getting any heat from the front blowers, sometimes very lukewarm if set to 32, digital controls
I've done a coolant change
I've flushed through front matrix
Cleaned the cabin sensor
Anyone any other ideas ?

It is probably a faulty rheostat, otherwise known as a fan-speed resistor. It's found behind the large air intake under the bonnet. You can get new ones from Bongo land at https://bongoland.co.uk/product/heater- ... e-control/

Or second hand from Bongospares.

The fan works fine and changes speed according to the setting
