Engine management warning light

Post by Colin Singleton » Tue Aug 27, 2024 3:48 pm

Hi Guys, new to the Bongo scene. I have a warning light in amber, not flashing. I have plugged in my OBD diagnostics device, and the error code is
P0135, 02 sensor heater, circuit bank 1 sensor 1. could someone tell me if and what part i will need to order. Bongo city runner, 2003, petrol, 2LTR.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Colin.

Think you will find this is the Lambda sensor in the exhaust having a problem.
Be careful handing these as the heater for the sensor is run at 12v but the sensor links back to the ECU which all works on 5v, if you get the wires wrong, cut them by mistake or have problems in removing the sensor as a whole from the exhaust there have been several reports of damaging the entire ECU when 12v gets stuffed into the 5v logic of the ECU - like good bye ECU!!
