since iv changed my Rear calliper iv noticed the top slider looked shorter than the lower slider by literally 1 or 2mm I came to this assumption by looking at the gap with the rub we boot seals..... However this may change when the breaks are bled and the piston has pushed the pads out, anyway they are the correct sliders and they fit so it can't be bad ( all in my head )
I disconnected the driver side rear calliper a good few days ago and cable tied a clear plastic bad over it in the vertical position whilst I rebuild said calliper with new piston seals and rubbers ( the metal circular clip wasn't that bad to fit!
Anyway caliper all fitted nicely. Piston pushed in fitted and bolted to the wheel, used my new vac pump bleed kit from Amazon, zero bubbles ( master cylinder cap off???? )
Test drive the van a few meters forward and a few back and I hardly have any breaks. I mean they work but would by no means stop me in time at a red light. The peddle feels as though it has zero pressure.......
As I took the rear rotor off because my Handbreak was binding I had to do something with the *STAR ADJUSTER * to be able to get the rotor back on! Now it's on I don't have a working Handbreak so wondering if it's "Self adjusting" or which way I manually adjust it..... Push the top of the star or the bottom!
Also I'd like to know if I can change flow plugs without taking the *METAL CENTER UNIT " Off where the Handbreak and gear shifter sit. I done this before and it literally took me 2 days to sort out as bongo spare sent me the 84mm plugs. I now have 4x blueprint plugs and would like to know if there's an easier way to change them....
As iv stated in previous posts, I'm on benefits for mental health, I'm homeless and live in my bongo and this is also my only vechial...... I pay for my tax and stupidly high insurance of £87 a month ( Was £27 but gone up ) 8 years NCB. I'm paying basically all my government given money on the van, I know they are simple fixes but I'd really like someone local to help me if they can.....
Ps does not having the break hose connected cause AIR ISSUES with the ABS! Thank you everyone. I'm in Plymouth!
