Roof noise when driving

Post by Deanoh28 » Sun Jan 21, 2024 12:35 pm

Hi please help my bongo roof rattles like hell when you get to about 60mph it sounds like the roof is going to blow up whilst driving I’ve checked the clips are down so it’s locked down. Any suggestions would be helpful thanks 🙏

It sounds like its an after market roof if it has clips do you know which one or any pictures of it ?
One design has "spikes" that the roof lowers onto then the bonnet like clips engage I believe they are adjustable ?

Hi just see you question. I have had a similar experience recently with an after market roof while driving down the M6. Once it started was difficult to stop. eBay has a deflector blade which mounts in front of the roof, designed for VW’s which I am going to try. Also seemed worse in a side wind, I noted that the side rubber seal was not hard against the roof in all places and wonder if this may be a contributing factor.
