Login problem ?

Post by g8dhe » Fri May 12, 2023 3:29 pm

Is there a problem with login at present (Thursday evenIng and Friday) ?
On browsers where I am already logged in all is fine (this one).
Any new login is failing from other devices, my laptop and phone :-(

I've double checked and all seems OK this end. But my IT guys were due to do some upgrading Thu/Fri. Try again tomorrow and let me know what happens.

We are on the case. The server was rebooted. But some people when trying to log in are receiving an error message that the "submitted form was invalid". Rebecca who is delaing with it at our IT partners, has said she could only get in if she deleted all cookies. Investigations continue.

Yes that's the message I get as previously a User, now cured, but also when trying Admin login. I had cleared cookies but maybe it needs another clearing. Lets give it ago!

Right that seems to have fixed it, both User and Admin, obviously cookies were hanging around, however I also had to enable 3rd party cookies to get back in, or at least it kept taking me back to that message, but I have now blocked them (3rd party ones) and it still seems happy once logged in!

I see one of the outstanding updates also cures the User Icon problems that have been plaguing me from time to time as well.

The Forum, the main website, and the Bongoland shop have been migrated to a new server. Technical issues I'm afraid but can't be sesolved until I'm back from the meeting in Co. Durham. You can still access the Forum in view only, but if you want to post or reply to a thread then you have to clear all cookies and then log in again.

All users will get an email next week.
