Hi all,
Just after replacing a damaged CV boot for the test and after refitting the driveshaft I noticed the next morning that it's after springing a leak
Ripped the whole thing apart again and don't ya know I'm after damaging the drive shaft seal
Where would I locate one of these in a hurry?
Is there any other vehicle using the same seal, could I locate one locally?
The code on the side of the seal is 15z 35 56 16.5 AE
I need the van for the weekend
Drive shaft seal leak?

Might be worth checking you local supplier ? I did a simple google search and there are a few references to the exact numbers you quoted including Euro car parts https://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100 ... 56+16.5+AE

Re: Drive shaft seal leak?
Thanks g8dhe,
Yea I'm gonna be making a few calls in the morning and fingers crossed I can locate one quickly.
I wouldn't mind but the damage on the seal doesn't even look all that significant, I was expecting it to be much worse given the amount of oil that came out of it.
Have a 5L of this Dextron 3 transmission fluid, what is the total capacity?
