Tough Northerners in County Durham

Post by Ian » Fri Oct 28, 2022 8:31 pm

This meeting will be held at Leekworth Camping Park in Middleton in Teesdale. It starts on Thursday 18th May and finishes on Monday 22nd. You must book a minimum of 3 nights and we have 25 pitches all with EHU.

This is an adults only meeting. Due to the ongoing energy crisis we will not know the overnight rates until January.

Booking is by telephone only commencing 0930 on Thursday 26th January. This must be done via the Bongo Fury office on 0114-2550836. We will need your membership number and vehicle registration.

Full payment is required in advance. Refunds can only be given if a replacement can be found.

If we sell our initial allocation we will start a waiting list. Once 5 are on the waiting list we will approach the campsite to see if there are any spare places.

If there is enough interest we will arrange a mini bus trip to the Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle.

AH ... so what date is the booking ? 16th Feb is for Wallingford and 26th Jan is a month earlier ?

Sorry for the confusion. Booking for this event is 26th January. Booking for Wallingford (although Wallingford is earlier) is 16th February. This is because of 2023 rates being set at different times in different websites, and also because Robin at Leekworth wants us to return any unwanted slots by the end of March.

Overnight pitch fees now been announced. Bit of an increase to £30 per night including EHU. Bit steep, but that includes a block booking discount.

I'm in for this one. I rather like that site, nice walk along the riverside.

We still have 10 places available for this meeting. Any unsold places will be handed back to the campsite at the end of March.

The 8 unsold pitches have now been returned to the campsite. If there is further interest, please book directly with Leekworth.
