Smell of petrol every now and then + Engine light

What's the MPG like? Can I use chip fat and veggie oil? What about LPG?

Smell of petrol every now and then + Engine light

Post by Bongo1 » Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:10 pm

Hi all

Tried a search on this topic but didn't find any info.

Getting a slight smell of petrol on the Bongo every now and then plus the engine light comes on every now and then as well.

Any ideas please?

Many thanks

If the alternator belts aren't at the correct tension the dash lights will do as you describe as well as the battery won't be getting its full charge current, I'd also check the oil level to make sure its not low.
