Mobile mechanic near Gloucester

Post by FredP2021 » Tue Jul 05, 2022 4:02 pm

I've got a 1996 2.5 diesel - let's call her Brenda. Brenda had a fuel leak which I got a local "enthusiast" to investigate. Discovered the leak was in the heart of the pump - not a straightforward fix, sadly. Subsequently, half the fuel pump is removed and Brenda is no longer mobile. My enthusiast is no longer enthusiastic.

I'd love to get Brenda fixed and going again. I've seen the sheet for a DIY project but not confident at all on this. Also a question of time.

Does anyone know of a decent mobile mechanic in or around Gloucester who can do this sort of stuff? I feel I've exhausted local Facebook and directory guys. I know it's going to cost a bit for the recon pump and work but Brenda is worth it.

Thanks in advance.

There's Dave, in Worcester, but he does tend to be busy:

Welcome aboard, good luck. 8)

Edit: Simon at Contract Mechanics is well thought of:

Failing that I'd have a look at the Fact Sheet on Bongo Friendly Garages and perhaps pay to get Bongy recovered there.
