Clean Air Zone in Bath
This has gone live and it would appear some Bongos are exempt from the £9 daily charge and some have to pay. According to the BATNNES website private vehicles are exempt, but campervans have to pay. I put my Bongo (registered as a Motor caravan on V5) and I have to pay. But it raises some interesting questions. Can people check their elegility criteria at https://beta.bathnes.gov.uk/check-your- ... pay-charge at then post what they are classified as on page 2 of the V5 log book under section D5 and D5x?

It says I don't pay in Bath, but Birmingham is £8.00.
Unconverted, and V5 shows MPV.
'96 Diesel.

Indeed Ben.Even before Covid I only did about 5k miles a year and very little in cities. You'd think a 'rationing' tax might make for an interesting variation that would still reduce the pollution problem but without turning newcomers and occasional visitors off. And if its particulates they want to reduce, I wonder what they will be doing about wood burning stoves.
Re: Clean Air Zone in Bath
Hi, I assumed my 96 Bongo(Freda) would be exempt from the clean air zone charge, being my private vehicle and classed as a MPV. Unfortunately I used my bongo to attend a funeral and was horrified almost 3 months later, when I received 4 tickets for using the bongo in the clean air zone.
There are no contact numbers or email addresses on the tickets to find out any more info.
I am gutted. Now I've seen in the forum some people do not have to pay, I will challenge it.
