fixing gearbox

Post by spotdoc67 » Sat Jun 06, 2020 4:17 pm

Hi,
I'd be grateful for any guidance.
I've bought a project Bongo and I'm working through some things.
The gearbox hold light was flashing and not shifting into top. I did the diagnostic test and came up with code 62 (3-4 shift solenoid valve).
I have a replacement pack of solenoids and I've just taken the gearbox sump off.
Can someone let me know what else I need to take off to get to the solenoids to replace them?
I've got a photo of the underside of the auto box with the sump off but can't seem to attach it (too large).

many thanks

Tom

I think this manual is for a later model (dated 2003)
has anyone done this job on an earlier Bongo?
Mine is a 1996 V6

thanks

Mine was doing this intermittently, it turned out to be dirt on the crank sensor.
