Stuck At Home During The Pandemic?

Post by Ian » Wed Mar 25, 2020 1:11 pm

Lots of Bongonauts have been confined to barracks for one reason or another and things could get even worse. In most cases family, friends, neigbours and community workers/volunteers will make sure that people are OK. But not always; and loneliness can be a real problem.

So if you need to chat to other Bongonauts, need something fetching or carrying, or just want to have a laugh and a joke, or recommendations for things to do, then post all suggestions here.

For instance, at the moment myself and Marianne are able to legitimately move/drive around and can deliver supplies to Bongonauts in North Derbyshire and South West Sheffield. Just post here or email me at [email protected].

I'm sure plenty of others can do the same in their area too.

If anyone has any ideas how to convince an 88 year old Mother that 'coming through the war' has not made her, and all her friends' immune to the virus I would be very grateful. ](*,)

Hi everyone

Currently I'm being kept busy because we've all been set up to work from home. This is actually really good, because the work continues and I'm not going stir crazy - yet.

There's a virtual campout in the garden group on Facebook. It's actually very refreshing and lots of bongonauts on there!

Good evening Bongonauts,
Looking out on onto Bernie, freshly cleaned waxed and ready to rock! New tailgate curtains (thanks for your help Bob). New step covers, blinged up door handle covers. That beautiful V6 waiting to burst into life! One day we will be back on the road exploring the highways and biways of our beautiful land. Stay safe everyone πŸ˜€.

Been passing my time, in between fixing up the Smug, cheering myself up by watching You Tube videos about the Black Death and the Spanish flu epidemic 1918.
Managed to get a food delivery for April 12th so on a diet as well.
Still looking on the bright side I may get the Wasp rewired as long as it doesnt turn cold this weekend.
Chin up chaps.😊

I suppose you could show them this link to illustrate what can happen when you ignore the rules https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-52061915

Just thinking, as there is a shortage of ventilators and most of us have a shed full of spare parts from or for our bongos - - -.
I've got a working Dyson dc02, reverse the wiring so it blows a bit, bit of vac pipe and a couple of cold start solenoids, I think I'm nearly there.
If Dyson can make them for the government under licence im sure I could come up with something similar, and it would free up a ventilator for a member of the cabinet should they continue to not follow the guidance.
Any thoughts.

First thing I did was phone Ian and renew my (slightly overdue) membership.

Next job is the perennial drop links renovation and then the wheel arch rust!

Nudist camp closed so sunning myself, suitably clothed, in my garden which is thankfully sheltered from the cold wind.
