Mad as a March Hare 22-24 March 2019 Tucker's Grave, Faulkland, south of Bath

Post by Jillygumbo » Thu Jun 28, 2018 5:20 pm

Me, Bob and Sue checked out Tucker's Grave campsite recently. At the moment the only facilities are taps and pub toilets that stay open overnight. There may be a portaloo (wasn't one 24/02/19) down on the campsite. The cost is £5 per unit per night. Suits me! Ground is grass and after a test visit recently held up pretty well, although a 2 wheel front wheel drive motorhome got stuck trying to get out! There may be an option to stay up near the pub on the car park if you ask at the pub first. If you do join us down on the campsite, stay close to the gravel entrance.

If the facilities have changed by March 2019, the price may change. Not changed yet (24/02/19).

The pub is fantastic! Check if out: https://www.tuckersgraveinn.co.uk/. They do some pies and pasties, crisps. Dogs may be restricted inside the pub, the better behaved the more likely they'll be allowed inside! It's small! Beer garden with marquee, industrial gas heater and huge firepit! Near to Norton St Philip and more pubs! Walks from the pub have been tested by Bob and Sue.

Happy Hour is 5 - 6 on Friday evening.

I've e mailed Jo at Tucker's Grave and we're booked in for the dates shown. Sadly Sue seems to have moved on.

Would those attending please book on line with the pub, and we can pay on arrival.

https://www.tuckersgraveinn.co.uk/camping

As far as I know details and prices are as shown, but we'll try and get over there before March Hare and double check.

Note the pub does not open all day so if arriving after 15.00 follow the new drive down hill to the camping ground, this is parallel to the lane you turned into to get to the car park.

Do not pass in front of the barn into the field next to the main road (which had tents in it last time).

If anyone would like my mobile please PM me. 8)

Looking forward to this one. :D
