Did you ever get the rear view camera connected to your Pioneer stereo? I am attempting the same thing (well getting an audio fitter to look at it)

Sorry for the delay replying..........no - just cannot figure out what the problem is and decided I couldn't be bothered to take it to an auto electrician. As it is i am probably going to have to sell Bonnie and so for safety sake I will put the old stereo back in as I had already installed a Pure Highway DAB unit

Thanks for the update. I did take mine to an auto electrician but they couldn't get it to work either. Very happy with the Pioneer DAB radio though.

For the appearance alone, would it be worth buying a small alternative one and fitting it in the housing of the "Mazda" one. It looks really neat.

Bongo is now for sale as we bought a new motorhome and so put the old radio back in and camera works again. At least I also have a Pure Highway DAB radio as well :-)

It's a bit like Delboy trying to get them Russian video recorders to work
The factory fitted reversing cameras will be on the Japanese format/wavelength
So will work on there stereo/Tv screens but different to ours

You will be able to get a replacement camera to fit in the housing if you can get the old one out
Gas safe heating engineer / plumber if you need any advice just shout.

My two penneth - I've done a few & the easiest way to pick up the Reverse signal I find is by removing the dials & use the "R" light feed on the plug-in connector nearest the drivers side, third cable from the left. Behind the dials.

Good luck

Hi folks.
Does anyone have experience of wiring in a Garmin BC30 wireless reversing camera?
I've just ordered a new Garmin GPS that is compatible with this device.
Here's a link to the installation manual:

It sounds like placing it on the spoiler is an interesting option. It will still need to be wired to the reverse circuit somewhere.

The buzzer next to the accelerator is much easier to access, from memory it's the yellow/red wire in the multiplug. Personally I cut the wire which as an added bonus stopped the awful reversing buzzer that made it difficult to hear the corner sensors so rather self defeating.
