Stereo replacement
It's me again.....
Can you tell me if the stereo is easy to replace? I have a T reg and the worst cassette/radio combo ever. I am hoping it is a simple Halfords job.
Thanks
Becky

Re: Stereo replacement
Should be straightforward though you may need to purchase an extra adaptor lead. But this should all be familiar stuff to a Halfords stereo fitter so I reckon its worth nipping down there in the Bongo and posing the question to them (or else call them). If they say they can do it, then they must get it done It's definitely not rocket science, for those used to doing it.Becky&stu wrote:It's me again.....

Re: Stereo replacement
The thought of some actual tunes rather than a cackle from AM radio and a few old cassettes which seem to be eaten for a living in there!!!

Re: Stereo replacement
This is a really simple DIY job, save forty quid.
As said, you need a small addaptor wire which is about a fiver from Halfords or internet.

This kind of thing:

I used 4 x (roughly) 4 inch long bits of wire coat hanger to jiggle out the old one then just clip in your adaptor wire and fit the new radio.
Doubtless You Tube vids of the process.

I thought so, over eighty quid in our local car shop.
Re: Stereo replacement
We find a remote for the radio invaluable - saved a good few glasses of nectar from being knocked over.
Looks like this model might have the feature using Bluetooth.

Re: Stereo replacement
I've just fitted this straight into the adapter harness bought from ebay - quite a good price for DAB, CD and bluetooth with internal microphone if anyone is interested: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/p ... 272731.htm
