Sorry to hear of the bother u had with Royal Mail Indi! A few years ago my kids didn't receive their birthday cards from their grandparents either - some git somewhere had a free drink with their birthday money (even tho they had been posted in brown official looking envelopes).
Anyway hope the glow plugs make a noticeable difference, especially with tomorrow's (Thursday's) weather that is forecast.
Will let you know bout mine - getting mine replaced Friday.

JIMMSMIMM you start your bongo in exactly the same way as i start mine, if its particularly cold, or been left for over a week or so,i always light up the glowplugs, turn ignition back off, then re-ignite the glowplugs...listen for the clonk, half throttle then crank...starts like a dream! The smoke after unsuccesful attempts at starting is just unburnt fuel.

heater plugs
hi you will find it very easy to change glow plugs , i cant see the point off changing 2 , because if the other 2 go down you have got to change them,if you want to test them just test them across a battery or jump pack, if they glow and smoke they are good if nothing happens bin them ?
i took it to my mechanic, who tested them, said 2 were fine and the other 2 were not! one was black when he took it out.. lol he only charged £20 to change them, not worth hubs getting his hands dirty for that!mikeonb4c wrote:Have I missed something Indigo - how did you know it was only 2 that were dodgy (and then order only 2?). Also, is the job simple for a thickie like me (albeit that I have a workshop manual, which will help). V pleased you have a smooth Bongo again.
