Nr Limerick Bongo Garage wanted - URGENT

Post by cmm303 » Mon Aug 22, 2016 9:59 am

A friend (who is a Fury member!) and his family are touring ROI and needs a Bongo garage to diagnose a flashing glow plug light (steady on-off). Bongo is driveable. (I'll do the honours and scour the forum for hints but without a code being flashed he is assuming it needs somebody to check using the diagnostic port).

They are at Feakle near Limerick. Any suggestions for a garage or mechanic?

Very grateful (on his behalf)
Thanks.

The Glowplug light flashes when a problem in the engine has been detected. But as you correctly say, on new shape Bongos it would be flashing a code. A steady flash can mean a problem with the scavenger fan. Others with more knowledge than me will hopefully be along shortly.

Thanks Ian, you're a gent. My friend now has somebody with diagnostic tester coming along, and I've forewarned him of the non-standard port. I've passed on info on how to get diagnostics out and posted on the techie forum for confirmation of some semi-techie steps.

Still interested in a local Bongo specialist in case something special needs doing :(

We don't have any Bongo friendly garages listed in Ireland. But Leonards Motors are an approved Mazda dealer and may be able to help
