AFT tent cover

Post by Rapidair65 » Thu May 28, 2015 11:42 am

Just bought a thermal cover for our AFT from the club shop. It fits a treat and is easy to get on, but......is it waterproof? We are off to Yorkshire this weekend and the weather looks a trifle moist. I don't want to end up with a bag of soggy wadding!

The description in the club shop says pu coated which should make it water resistant at least,pu coatings are used on a wide range of outdoor clothing.Probably worth giving Ian a bell at the shop to check though.

Sorry, I was away camping in North Yorkshire too! It was very wet........

The covers are shower proof, not water proof. As you may have already found out......

Having used Grangers Fabsil on our windscreen cover, we tried it out at Knaresborough CC site over the weekend. It works! The cover remained waterproof despite the overnight downpours and strong winds. Next job is to apply Fabsil to the AFT cover and try it out at the Bongo Bash where we are bound to get some of our wonderful British summer weather!
