refitting roof tent - pic of corners needed !

Post by cookan » Mon Apr 13, 2015 10:01 am

hi Guys,
as well as doing the struts, I'm trying to solve a problem whereby the corners of my roof tent tend to pop out of the frame guides leaving holes for mosquitos to get in. I've dropped the frame a few times in the past to re-thread the tent onto the guides and then found that the roof needs more help going up (because there's now more tension in the tent).
It has occurred to me that maybe the tent isn't fitted exactly right at the corners and I wondered whether someone with a nice working '95 AFt could post a close up picture of the inside and outside of the tent corner to give me some reference for how far round/past the corners the straps should be. I have a sneaky suspicion the straps should be fully on the long side as opposed to mine which are half on the long side and half round the front (effectively bent round the corner)...

thanks,
Ant.

this is mine at least....I think that strip should be pulled round so that it's all on the long side part of the frame as opposed to evenly between side and front and I'm going to try that today !
