My petrol-head/Mini-guru mate reckons, in order:
- stick some REDEX in the tank on next fill-up, in case one or more INJECTORS are partially blocked
- listen carefully, has MISFIRE (evidenced by sooty plug) gone away since plugs+HT leads replaced?
- his gut still says SENSORS/ELECTRICAL, ask garage to check all work: temperature, crank, knock ..
- he doubts a breathing problem/SEAL LEAK would develop so suddenly
