Fuse question.

Post by bongoroy63 » Sat Apr 11, 2015 6:51 pm

Whilst carrying out some work on my Bongo I have managed to blow the main fuse located behind the battery. The fuse is a100amp male PAL type so I need to replace it. However, I have checked in the Fury shop and see the highest amperage fuse is 60 amp. Is it safe to replace mine with a lower amperage or do I stick with the 100 amp?
I can, I do, I did.

No - You need the bolt in 100Amp blue ones available from Amazon etc.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... p+PAL+blue
check the type of bolt hole used open or closed end, if your not sure the open ended will always work.

Just looked at the link sent by Geoff. One further query. I see there are a few to choose from but there is also one that says 'Japanese type'. Which one should I go for?

The spare ones I carry are not marked Japanese! Hadn't even noticed that wording on some of the adverts to be honest, no idea what its significance is either! The ones I carry are the type below, but I've not had to change one on my vehicle yet either ....
