I have read through various posts on setting up a leisure battery and split charge system and I have already bought most of the kit I’ll need – I think.
I was keen to get some feedback from you guys to make sure that the setup I envisage is not only suitable but also safe….so here goes
SB >>>> VSR >>>>> 110AmpHr LB >>>> 300w Inverter >>>>> 6 socket multibox >>> 30w Laptop charger + 10w Rechargeable light + 4w Phone charger + 15w Camera Battery Charger + 80w computer speakers (note that all 5 devices probably won’t be connected at once)
I’m also looking to install a stove, 2 way fridge and hot water system combo eventually and I’m hoping to run all 3 off one gas bottle, is this possible/safe?
Look forward to hearing some feedback

No problem running cooker fridge and hot water system off of 1 gas bottle
Do the main gas runs in 10mm copper micro bore pipe can use compresion fittings
Done in caravans all the time
I would put a gas isolation valve inline to each appliance
And do remember about ventilation
And hole in floor next to where bottle is stored
I'd also install a battery co detector
And follow manufacturers instruction

Re: My new setup in Buddy
I have a 300W inverter. It trips out if there is any high initial current (as can happen with many chargers and electric motors). You can sometimes reset it once the charger is connected and its capacitance has 'filled up' with electricity, but not always. Suck it and see - you can get inverters that cope with this problem but not sure if they cost rather more. Interestingly, I've hardly ever used my inverter. In most cases a 12v charging option has met my needs, and my son no longer wishes to travel with me with his Playstation 2 as he's grown up now and has a PS4!
I'll leave gas to Gasy! Interested in your idea of a hot water system though as that one always got my interest, complete with a radiator in the sleeping compartment and maybe working through the existing engine cooling system and its radiators to minimise duplication of plumbing.

Re: My new setup in Buddy
Nice one fellas,
Had ventilation on my radar but not a CO detector.... v good idea, thanks
I'd love to get the hot water by using the engine heat but I think a system like that is a bit beyond my capabilities... it does seem a shame we can't take advantage of all the heat!!
BTW has anyone managed to squeeze in a shower/toilet/tiny wetroom into bongo? We are going to be sleeping 'upstairs' so by my calculations there should be just enough room to squeeze a small 2 seater couch, kitchenette and small wetroom (approx. 80 x 100cms) in the 'downstairs'
