Firewood gratefully received, just wondered if anyone has missed said fork? Its quite distinctive.
It's beginning to look as though the owner doesn't give a fork
Sorry Bob, I'll fetch me coat.

Don't think anybody is owning up to the fork!! The large plastic fizzy drink bottle filled with water was for chucking. It was certainly not for drinking (eek) but left near fire for the weekend, just in case.
Bertie also passed his MOT yesterday.

Nice one on the MOT.
We leave a fire bucket by the caravan for just such events, too. Had to use it once.

At last! My photos from this weekend and the previous weekend. Click on the link for a slideshow.

I spent the previous weekend at The Three Magpies at Sells Green. It's very close to the Devizes CCC but not as busy and it's nearer to the pub! All the people I met there were happy they were unable to get into the CCC! I had glorious walks along the canal to The Barge Inn (not that one) at Seend Cleeve, back along the canal towards Devizes until I got to the bottom of Caen Hill Flight. Next day I drove to the car park at the top of Caen Hill Flight (£1 only) and walked down to where I got to the day before, and then back up. Tea and cake at the cafe at the top, and then home.
The meet at The Golden Swan was brilliant. Click on the link above for a slideshow of both weekends.

Great Pictures Jill, loving the Alpacas with the canal behind.
Couple of questions for you
1. How does the Three Magpies compare to the Golden Swan? food/drink/toilets/showers etc(thinking about going on Star Wars weekend)
2. I also saw a sign post for The Brewery Inn cider bar in one of your pictures......where is that?
That'll do for starters

cheers! party on dudes.

Three Magpies v Golden Swan:
GS more picturesque; TM nice interior; TM food as good as GS or very close; dogs allowed inside TM too; TM bigger inside for food; TM has large garden with picnic tables; play area; TM fills with Devizes CCC people too; TM campsite has more hardstanding area but similar size grass area to GS; TM has more ehu points (hardstanding and grass); toilet/shower (1 each side) not as clean as GS and shower takes £1 token (didn't bother); dish wash and CDP; TM closer to canal (think).
Along canal away from Devizes is The Barge Inn at Seend Cleeve. Lovely pub with beautiful interior and good food. Follow the road here to Seend and you'll pass The Brewery Inn before you get to Seend. It's signposted from Seend (road from Devizes to Trowbridge). Haven't been to The Brewery Inn - it just amused me that the sign tried to steer you away from The Barge Inn.
Devizes is within walking distance other way, up Caen Hill Flight and there's a fantastic pub at Rowde that does wonderful fish and seafood meals (renowned) George & Dragon. There's another pub there too The Cross Keys. Circular walk from canal too.
TM would be a good pub for a meet but don't know how busy campsite gets. Grass not usuable when wet - too soggy. Hardstandings were full when I went before GS weekend.

Brewery basic but very nice, can't remember what they do food wise as we were last there 2 years ago.
Recommend a visit, though, and as Jilly says, really good walks.

The Bad Guys come to invade from space, then the Good Guys get to fight them off.
Good music, too.
