Headlamp adjustment for driving on the continent
Hi there ,
We're off to france at the weekend and need to adjust the headlamps. Got the stickers but have no idea where they go???? apart from somewhere on the headlamp
Any idea anyone?

Shine the lights at a light coloured wall and move the beam blockers around until the "kick-up to left" bit of the dipped beam is cut out - that is the bit that annoys drivers on the "wrong" side of the road.

Hi
Er...what make headlamp stickers, and what year Bongo?...if they are the same as mine, I'll post a picture of mine.
Top Tip for annoying "Johnny Foreigner"when driving abroad:
Instead of beam benders, use plain but yellow coloured sticky film....it will confuse the border inspector, and still blind 'em coming the other way ...That'll teach the blighters for driving on the wrong side!
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.

The Black ones or the translucent ones?.......
with both of these they need to placed where the triangular shaped markings are on the headlight lens...like this.....

Hi, I've did this at dusk in a panic in France, and it was obviously in the wrong place as I was getting flashed all the time (the instructions, I decided, must have been inserted into the box in jest).
I'm going back in a couple of weeks, the pic here has helped me with the right lamp - any tips for the left would be much appreciated!!
Is it in the same place?
I was a little confused seeing this, as I assumed the beam benders would be located to the bottom right of the light to deflect the beams from oncoming traffic to the left of the vehicle.. goes to show what making assumptions is good for

Re: Headlamp adjustment for driving on the continent
The left is done the same as the right hand one, rather than a mirror image. Best way is to position it while facing a wall/garage donor so you can see that it is doing its job before you stick it in place.

Thanks Simon. Appreciated!
