bulging hose

Post by campergeek » Sun Jun 29, 2014 7:27 pm

While removing the battery I noticed a slight bulge on this hose. I'm assuming this is a coolant hose, so is this a sign it's on it's way out, or nothing to worry about?

Cheers.

As said its a brake vacuum hose, if it is soft it is advisable to change it asap.

It seems ok, when squeezing I wouldn't call it soft exactly. Off to France in a few weeks though, so probably best to get it looked at before then and might as well get the rest of the hoses inspected at the same time.

Thanks.

It's not meant to be soft as it carries vacuum pressure to give you the ease when braking (assistance)if it was soft it would implode and your brake pedal would be very hard
