Where there is the metal strip at the top of the tent which holds it to the roof, one of the screws has pulled loose. It looks like it is screwed into some sort if insert in the roof and this insert/plug has pulled out of the roof - the screw is still tight in the insert but because the insert has pulled out the metal strip has some away from the roof (reply if you need a picture to work out what I am on about!)
Is there a way to repair this, can the insert be replaced somehow and are they available?

Re: AFT screw has pulled loose from the roof
I would use a 2 part apoxy rasin based glue. I would use some grips to hold the insert and removed the fastening screw. Don't over apply the adhesive as you don't want to get any into the threaded hole, otherwise you will struggle to replace the screw.
Hope that helps.

Re: AFT screw has pulled loose from the roof
Half way through fixing this problem myself!
I've had no luck unscrewsing the screw at all. My Dad has made a rather large C clamp out of wood, we are using that clamped to outside of roof, through the tent and clamping the metal strip back into place with glue. This seems to be the approach everyone else is using on here, maybe it's a common problem.

Just hold the insert which has come adrift with mole grips .... undo the roof tent 3 more around to give you room (you may find more loose) and then use Araldite rapid.... set in the inserts then after a couple of hours, lower the roof to take the tension off of the tent and screw the screws back in... a dab of the good old copper grease helps the screws go in easier... jobs a good un
