Front Washer not working

Post by elmanc » Sun Nov 17, 2013 10:44 am

Hi all,

My front washer is not working , when I pull the leaver in the cab there is no humming from the motor? The rear one is however fine ? Could it be a fuse ? If so which one ?
Many Thanks Steve

Its the fuse below;

However its much more common for the brushes in the motor to have worn out or corrosion in the motor and/or connector.

The front washer and wipers are on the same fuse, so you can check the state of the fuse by trying the wipers. The pumps are quite prone to failure and while they can be repaired, you can buy a new one from ebay for well under £10 so it's not really worth the effort.

If you do fancy repairing it, then have a read of this: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =3&t=53514

Thanks guys, I will get on it. The wipers arnt affected so if on the same fuse its probably the motor. How come the rear washer is ok ? is it a seperate motor ?

Apreciated Steve

yep, separate motor.

most peeps say the rear doesnt work but the front does, this is when the screen wash level is low, as the rear is higher mounted in the bottle. :wink:
