arrgh hold light on and I've just advertised the bongo

Post by neepboy » Wed Aug 14, 2013 4:38 pm

hi guys, hope (know) you can help~:
been through the search on "hold lights" and read the fact sheet and am now in a real panic.
After 7 great years with her it's time to sell the bongo, as soon as I put it in the ads she starts playing up.

Got an intermittent flashing hold light, sometimes it clears if you just switch off and on again other times it doesn't appear for a hundred miles or so.
Are there any quick checks I can do?
Which are the most common causes?
Nobody local much interested in Bongos up here and will prob have to do the work myself due to "financial constraints". I'm happy enough with nuts and bolts but know next to nothing about electrics.

Thanks, (will be back once I've calmed down)

check the alternator output and the condition of the batts, flashing hold is sometimes something on the split charge side of things. which type of split charge has it fitted if any.

It's her way of saying "don't sell me, please :( :( ,

"..seven faithful years, and this how you treat me, sob, sob"

They're just like animals, they know...
