Window motor
Hi, I am just waiting for funds to convert my Bongo and the window motor has broken. Has anyone got the information to get a replacement part, please.

Re: Window motor
Maybe better do do a double check, as it's generally the wires that come out of the door jamb break .. or occasionally the (expensive) widow switch fails ..

Re: Window motor
I would suggest you are 100% certain what the problem actually is .. before paying for something that may it isn't ..
Bongo and compatible second hand switches are available from scarp yards ..ebay etc:
If you need a new one expect to pay £135 - £185 for one ..

Re: Window motor
As above, check the loom between body & door, probably not where it goes through the grommets but at the bottom of the "U" as it's distorted onto the cable clamp on the edge of the door
You'll have to cut the outer sheath away and hopefully the problem will then be self-evident.
Unless it's the passenger door and you've inadvertently switched that window off on the driver's door controls....

Re: Window motor
My switch finally broke yesterday after a period of intermitant failure.
So I removed the switch unit to find that the problem is that the plastic peg on the slider switch on the circuit board had snapped off. Also the button you press is damaged.
After a quick look on the internet I realised that a replacement cost about £150
So I have managed to fix it by drilling a very small hole where the peg was & putting a very small screw in its place. The hole isn't exactly in the right place so the operation isn't perfect bu the window now can go down & more importantly up
Glad to have saved/postponed spending my hard earned cash
