Stayed at a good site? Or a really poor one? And what about wild camping? Put your comments here.

Hi

Heading to Aviemore tomorrow can anyone suggest a good child friendly site. Need to be able to pitch a tent near the van for storage.

Don't know how close you want to be but a few years back I had cheap but pleasant camping at 5 quid a night at the back of the caravan park on the road that runs into Newtonmore. We camped with our backs to the Spey and a perfectly good if plain toilet and shower block adjacent. The owners thought my Bongo cost 30k until I told them the price I paid was a bit over 1/10 of that

http://www.boatofgartenholidaypark.com/ Try this one. It is years and years since we were there but it was a good central place to be, nice and close to Landmark!

What about the one at Glenmore Lodge we stayed in last year? Forest Parks one I think?

Didn't go to Aviemore after all.

Checked forecast and it's looking good for Gairloch from Thursday so off to sands campsite instead :P g

i am currently looking at the one in rothiemurchus. i imagine it is pretty good as the scottish contingent are planning a meet there.

is it level or slopey?? and do they allow bbqs on the site?? (just cause it is in a lot of woodland and stuff).

we are going to go at some point in august (cause i am on holiday). it will just be two nights but i am very much looking forward to it. hope they have space for us.
:)

main reason is to go to the wildlife park but i imagine we will do a couple of other things as well.

anyways... i posted it on here cause it seems to get really good reviews on the ukcampsite website. which is kinda my go-to website. (apart from here of course).
