£10 campsites

hi all, i am wanting to start a topic on £10 campsites anywhere in the uk.
basically we have found one called shay farm in cheshire and it is spot on for location, it has clean toilets and showers and this is all i want for my money.
if anyone has any other little hidden (cheap) gems then post here.
most sites have loads of facillites and charge a fortune to the point you may as well stay in a hotel and have a none gas burner car take you there but where is the fun!!!!

I've just signed up to this lot: http://www.britstops.com/welcome.html. You pay £25 per year to get book of locations where you can stay overnight for free. Typically, they're pubs, farmshops, vineyards etc, so not really proper campsites, but ideal if you're travelling around and need somewhere safe to stop for the night and have a pub meal, buy some local produce, etc. Hoping to try a few out over the next few weeks.

Just spent a couple of nights at Church Farm campsite at Monkton Farleigh, close to Bath. We spent 3 days exploring the old stone mines in the area.

Very basic, with only a single toilet and shower, you'll have to be self sufficient. There's a small shop in the village for supplies, they do a coffee and pies as well I believe. Also a pub there, but haven't been in it for years since they poshed it up.

Reasonably quiet, dog friendly, £10 a pitch per night.

do you know if there is a quiet footpath or cycle route which can take you happily into Bath from there ?

There's a not a single direct route, but there's a lot of footpaths in the area...

That must be very close to the new Two Tunnels cycle path, and the Kennet and Avon at Brassknocker Basin, both walking and good cycling routes.

Thanks Chris have had a look at Shays Farm campsite online and it looks brill. It's not too far away from us ish, and a good base for days out, Chester, Port Sunlight etc. May give it a go this summer.

Never heard of it, will have to check it out. Remember at Bath you've got one end of the Bristol to Bath bike path as well.
