Air-con compressor for 2l Aero

Post by PHolley » Tue Jun 11, 2013 10:28 pm

Our 2001 2WD Petrol Aero has responded to the warmer weather by promptly packing up the air-con compressor. I have S38A61450 and 506011-8610 as part numbers. I've seen some compressors from broken 2l petrols in UK but none with the exact part number. I've found a couple of exact matches, one in New Zealand and one in Japan. Obviously I'd rather bag one in the UK so does anyone know how compatible the ones from other 2l petrols with mismatched part numbers are likely to be?

Welcome to the forum :). The part number is very similar to the V6 one (which is also quite sought after), but the first few digits are different.

What numbers have you been given from the other 2 litre vans? You may be better off going by the Zexel part number on the green label.

Thanks. I've been on a few times since we join when we got the Bongo a couple of years back but haven't posted before.

I see, the green label has a similar but slightly different number. Took a look myself today and I have 506011-8610 and S38A 61 450 on the red but 506211-8050 on the green. Guess I need to try the search again with the new second number. I've turned up 506211-5470 , 506011-6750, 506011-7930 , 506211-668 and 506211-5470. All close but not a match.
