Hey laird where do you get your work done and how pricey are they, mine is running crap and took it to a garage who changed my plugs £88 and told me that it might be my dizzy cap and/or rotor arm and/or HT leads, so I have ordered all the parts but hopefully going to do it myself as cant afford to pay a garage at the prices I was charged.

Hope your well by the way.

Enjoyed Saturday nice to have a chat with all who arrived for the meet, once everyone went away I ended up busking on the street, had a lovely meal, and went to a concert in the evening, serious amount of rain in Pitlochry over night. We drove home Sunday morning thru the mist and drizzle, after spending the night sleeping in the van on the main street. Can't wait for our next trips to Mull & then the Scottish meet at the Gairloch.

just waiting on HT Leads then gonna try the job myself, if I fail then will get someone to come out but need to try and save money.

Well I have replaced the rotor Arm and Dizzy Cap, tried firing her up and wont start, sounds like no spark, so just gonna wait till I get my HT Leads through, put them on then see what happens, still convinced that the Leads are goosed. The Dizzy cap looked quite bad as did the Rotor Arm.
Just to cheer me up the son in law was talking to his mate who is a mechanic in Bonnyrigg, and he reckons it could be my coil. That would be all I need, more parts to buy.

Oh well hope to be on the road as good as new very soon, really need the car especially since my old Aunt that we care for is just in Hospital, and the car is the only way to get to visit.

Thanks for the offer of help, I may be giving you a shout if she don't start with the new leads, you got any idea about engines as my knowledge is more minimal than zero.
