If it is the AFT bleep , then you should find it speeds up if you move away and speed up yourself. If not, either it isn't the AFT , or you have a fault with that mechanism. Dave

I've spoken to Bongo mates who have said that the bleeping noise cannot come from the front drivers foot well area.....as its located at the rear of the van/drivers side 'in a box' close to rear seatbelt straps in the floor !! A polarised opinion ! Any one actually know which is true; and any means to stop this bl**dy beeping please ??????
try this

Thanks for the link to this info....I did it ..well a friend did...and all beeps stopped ie; reverse/ ignition lock/ and AFT front beeper !!.......NOW....just need to locate and 'unplug/switch off' the REAR beeping noise...as g8dhe stated, there are 2 separate beepers for the AFT...next one is located close to drivers side rear seat/seatbelt...in yet another 'box'

More updates...as and when. Many thanks for everyones input ...you're a wonderful bunch !!

Yes Dave it is the AFT bleep, and yes it speeds up when I drive and slows down when I do.turbodave wrote:If it is the AFT bleep , then you should find it speeds up if you move away and speed up yourself. If not, either it isn't the AFT , or you have a fault with that mechanism. Dave
Also, someone suggested that the light would have been flashing on the dash....yes it was....but it has done this since the day I bought it nearly 7 years ago. I did nothing re this as it seems it was/is a common problem that has no other side effects, so its safe to ignore...once the AFT has been checked of course !!!
Hope I've answered each query now.
My thanks to all again
Pam
ps will update again when problem totally solved !

The microswitches can be got from Farnell/RS etc but are US stock and come in at no less than £15 a pop. Breakers a better idea.
I carefully jimmied in some cardboard and tape and whatnot and stopped mine from beeping. You could cut and twist the wires to that microswitch - I think that works. Disclaimer: I'm not sure.
If you can get to the buzzer unit itself, put a bit of tape over the small hole in the top of the buzzer itself - cuts volume by well over half - but that's not a solution.
I get the impression from previous posts that it's beeping when you're closed and "locked" (ie clunked home). That suggests one of the fully closed microswitches.
I didn't know that both buzzer boxes came into play with the AFT.
Anyway, not an answer, just a jumble more words to throw into the pile. Good luck!
Matt.

I have this intermittanly - easy fix change to open momentarily then back to down - hold it on down till it stops.

Re: AFT beeping..a sort of a fix !! ?
After driving with permanent beeps for over a week....I now have perfect peace...at last ! The auto engineer eventually found a way to get to the back beeper for the AFT...[remember the front beeper has already been dismantled]...which is situated rear drivers side...right at the back ,close to rear seat belt fixing. It's hidden very well and has to be felt for and tugged, to get the wire thro one of the metal holes in the van side..[Icannot explain it any better than this, sorry !]...open the black box of 'wires' and spot the round 'beeper'...which has a hole on the top...as mentioned earlier by Dave[?]. Due to this being an integral part of this electronics board, it is not possible to just take it off, so the auto chap squirted some sealant stuff into it, which reduced the beeping; then we packed a big chunk of foam all around it, and the sound went !!! After plastic covers all put back etc...listened again....no bleep !! WE then checked AFT opening and closing....all good, just no beep anymore.....and NO BEEP WHEN DRIVING ........RESULT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks everyone for your comments /input...all useful stuff.
