I'd like to move the handbrake lever into a less obtrusive position. Theoretically it would be quite easy to do and get it certified safe. Has anyone done it? I've just had an idea

I've sprayed the bottom half of the interior Burgandy with silver leather caps and the top half in Silver, this is the rear air con

Door's get the same colour scheme with silver leather caps.

Hi Delilah
Your van looks fab.
The inside of ours looks like we've done nothing but let the kids loose with muddy wellies, crackers and lego but I know my husband has carefully positioned every crumb and mud splatter
I really like your hangy up thing, did you make it yourself?

Yes i did make the hangy up thing. I looked on web but could find nothing to fit perfectly, also made something similar for the backs of the seats, as you cant get them to fit either. I bought some extra cordoury with the intention of putting a skirt on the front of the bed with more storage pockets, but Ive not got round to that. Now Ive worked out how to post the pics or at least the link. Ill take more photos.

Re: Beautiful Interiors
Hi there, we bought a ford Freda/mazda bongo a month ago (she's called Beryl) and went on our first trip this weekend - it was great fun. Lots of bunting and fairy lights around the van and awning. Have you checked out hippy motors website, I'm looking to decorate the outside as well as the inside. Julie

Re: Beautiful Interiors
Aw great thread, and I don't even collect my first Bongo for a couple of weeks
Bit minimalist when I saw it so will need a bit of cosying up but will prob look better at night with the lights on.
And I'm a bloke so all style suggestions welcome

Nice interior! if you havnt already done it, a throw, a few cushions and a rug should make it more homely

Re: Beautiful Interiors
Not done much to the interior, but managed to source a cracking Royal Traveller 3 Awning for the outsidevj3 wrote:Second post
Has anyone made a real effort with the interior? not just the conversion, but accessories, cushions, blankets etc?
i am just sourcing stuff for mine. just ordered some customised bunting. just looking for a good quilt cover and possibly a table cloth
if anyone has any good photos, would love to see them.. if you google vintage campervan interiors they are all vw's.
Need to create some cool bongo style
