Hi all,
Does anyone know of a decent break down/recovery cover company that cover Europe. Bertie is on a 'N' plate 1995. I've tried the usual market comparison but nobody seems to want to quote, I'm guessing because of his age!
Thanks,
Phil

Re: European Breakdown Cover
Try your own insurer first, or the C & C Club if you're a member, or there are some options mentioned here:

Last resort, buy a newer van - that's one of the reasons / excuses I used .

Thanks guys,
I'll follow the links you've pointed out....as to buying a newer van, I couldn't get rid of Bertie. Eventhough I haven't had him long he's become part of the family.
Maybe I should just do a mechanics course and become self sufficient?
Cheers

Re: European Breakdown Cover
Hi
I don't know where you're going in Europe, but be assured that the breakdown services of many countries will not recognise all British breakdown services unless they have a reciprocal agreement. You'll need to check with the websites of the recovery services in the destination countries...don't rely on sales blurb in the UK....you can get VERY stuck.
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: European Breakdown Cover
I have just insured my N reg on a classic policy with Pete Best insurance, its limited to 3000 miles, but comes with full Eurpopean breakdown cover and only cost £185 fully comp!
Re: European Breakdown Cover
I have RAC cover - lasts all year (not just one trip like some others). Since RAC cover the driver not the vehicle the age of the vehicle is irrelevant> Was quite expensive but cheaper than the AA and they on;y quoted for a single trip>
Re: European Breakdown Cover
I always used Europ Assistance - Good price, but I never used them, Thank God
