Austria and Italian Lakes

Post by vj3 » Tue Jan 08, 2013 6:19 pm

Hello all

this is my first post !!!!

Just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for sights in Austria and the Italian lakes.
I am a teacher and so cannot avoid the busy summer holidays, but we are used to holidays in the busy period.

We are looking for mountains/ lakes in austria, possibly in the zem al zee area. but if anyone has any better ideas let me know.
In italy i am not to sure which lake to choose.

Would like sights that have some amenities but that are not full of kids and like being at Pontins !!!!

any ideas anyone? 8)

Any of the Italian lakes are good, Como is my favourite but Garda and Magiore are equally good.
Garda is good for getting to Verona and even to Venice about 100m away.
Make sure you book early though if you are stuck with school holidays as it gets very busy.
