Hi folks, i have the hold light flashing and when doing the wire trick in http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... 0Codes.pdf i got the following:
- Hold light on for three seconds
- 6 quick flashes
- 3 second gap
- 1 slow flash
- 6 quick flashes
- Sequence then repeats
I initially thought this was error 6: output speed sensor. But now re-reading the text from the factsheet below i'm thinking it is error 6 or 60 and error 16. It would be good to get a few eyes on this if that is ok? Thanks in advance! Here is the factsheet text:
"With the ignition on, the Hold light will illuminate for approximately three seconds
and, if a fault code has been stored, will then cycle through a sequence of slow
and fast flashes. The first digit of a code will be indicated by a sequence of up to
six flashes; after a two- or three-second pause the next digit of the code will be
indicated. If it is another single-digit code, this will again be indicated by slow
flashes, but if it is the second digit of a two-digit code, it will be indicated by fast
flashes. Slow and fast flashes are easily distinguished. Record the sequence of
flashes until a repeated sequence is noted. The digits recorded are your fault
codes. Caution: there is no way for the system of flashes to show zero, meaning
code 6 (output speed sensor) and code 60 (shift solenoid A) will be reported
identically! In this case further examination will be required. "

Hi jezmree,
What is the actual problem with your vehicle.

I'm not finding any problems when driving to give me clues, but i don't want to ignore the hold light flashing at me.
The bongo is new to me and was sat parked up a lot of the previous few years so i think corrosion has taken hold. The fuel gauge does not work and the front brakes are scraping but i presume they are separate issue.
