sat-nav speed pulse

Post by cloudy » Mon Sep 03, 2012 4:11 pm

i hope someone can help with this, i have fitted a dash mounted clarion MAX983HD in my new bongo, the sat-nav side of it will only work if it gets a signal from a speed pulse line! i have no idea which cable i need to pick up? or its location.
if it matters i have a 2lt aero 2001.
Any advice would be good.

There should be a wire (blue with white line) on the rear of the speedo cluster if I recall correctly. For the price of that unit, you could employ a full time navigator to sit in the passenger seat & give you directions :)

it was a good ebay purchase not the full retail price! and the person sat next to me is the wife! who thinks that all maps are composed of hieroglyphics and Swahili.
if you had her next you i bet the full price would have seemed cheap.

thanks for the advice on the wire, i will check it out on the weekend! cheers
