Re: Remote locking kit ?what do I need
Hi I just bought a cheap central locking kit off ebay about £15, you also need to buy one extra solenoid about £5 off ebay. you need to mount the solenoid in the drivers door and wire up the kit, I found it quite easy

That is very simular to the kit i bought you do not need 4 of the actuators you will only req 1 but i thought no harm in having some spares.
another member had a faulty actuator on his bongo and needed a replacement so i was able to help out.

Thanks can't seem to find a kit with just one in it says on the forum that you use one of the slave unit 2 cable one what do you do leave drivers side locking as it is and just add the extra unit to set of central locking if you know what I mean has anyone got any pics thanks
Re: Remote locking kit ?what do I need
I Bought these:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X2-Wire-Slav ... 43aa2e398d
And then used a newly purhased car alarm to activate it. The point is, you just need a 2 wire solenoid (and a remote kit of you are not using an alarm). I have the 2nd one spare somewhere , but the extra metal rod was very helpful as it allowed me to extend the linkage as I needed it.
The solenoid , via it's rod/s simply clamps onto the existing door lock rod and "forces it" up and down, which, the same as using the key, activates all the other doors.
I even found some sort of original radio kit with solenoid in my door - I just ignored it and added the new one.
In the members area there is a fact sheet with step by step photos. Somone has gone to some trouble to create these so it's kinda worth rewarding them with one years' membership for access.
I see on ebay all the remote kits come with at least 4 solenoids, so you'll just have to pay the £25 ish delivered and discard 3 of them... or..... if you are up for a wiring challenge.... buy an alarm for £27 and the two solenoids for £5 as listed above - the alarm will do the central locking... and yu get a good alarm!

Re: Remote locking kit ?what do I need
Hi this is what I bought, 1 solenoid and 1 kit which I got for £8.99 inc. postage. all works fine and easy to install. Word of caution though, when checking it is working properly dont activate on and off constantly as I burnt one solenoid out doing this.

Re: Remote locking kit ?what do I need
This is what I installed last week. Infact I only need to install the one door soleniod on the drivers side to make it work as I need.
