Door wiring

Post by lazyb5 » Sun Apr 08, 2012 11:16 pm

Well I finally got around to finding out why my central locking and passenger mirror have been playing about. Started to examine the passenger door wiring between the body and door when it started to disintegrate in my hand. Stripped it all down to find 2 broken wires and several looking as though they had been cut previously  Anyway a couple of hours and a soldering iron and loads of electrical tape the door now locks and the mirror folds. Guess I should look at the drivers side as well.

Indeed, the driver's side is usually the one that plays up, especially the thick black earth wire 8)
