Has anone elsr remove teh hudge dustbin air filter box and fitted a after marked one to gain space like in this pic http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk/for ... ?tid=29149
would give me so much room to play with,but not sure if its good for engine in there like that

Can't see any problem as long as there is adequate through-flow - may need changing more often though

Just looks like a K&N, might have one spare in the garage from My Fiat Ducato

Only problem I can think of is that it's going to sucking in warm air from the engine bay rather than cool air from the front.
If you need the room there I reckon the standard air filter could be moved to under the bonnet with a bit of messing about.
I looked a doing it so that I could fit the Eberspacher there.
