No headrests on my flip up seats
I think it depends on the model, mine being a P reg Ford was very basic spec, no leccy fold mirrors and no leccy blinds.

Lost without my Bongo.

Its not basic its the LTD Edition racing bongo, Fords R&D Department ripped out all the bits that weren't really needed to save weight to get the 0-60 time down

Re: headrests on rear flip up seats
Mine's an R reg facelift with all the bells & whistles and I don't have headrests. Interesting to know that some did ..... the quest begins! I'm never happy when I have got a car full of kids (other people's) and two of them are at greater risk of whiplash.
Having said that, we didn't have head rests or car seats or rear seatbelts when I was Isaac's age
I shall have to keep my eyes open now for a pair of flip ups with head rests. Bet I won't be the only one

The 1995 model I swapped with my daughter/son in law was a top spec, but that didnt have headrests either.daveblueozzie wrote:No headrests on my flip up seatsI think it depends on the model, mine being a P reg Ford was very basic spec, no leccy fold mirrors and no leccy blinds.
Must admit Ive never seen them on the fold up seats, but after seeing Adys post, for £20 that looks like a cheap solution

Re: headrests on rear flip up seats
thanks peeps, this bongo lark is starting to be similar to buying german, everything an optional extra.
i picked up some of the period ones a while ago for a mate, should have kept them, then again they are a bit boddie and doyle
.
good to know they are out there though, as alison says its mainly for the kids/child seat thing really. the child seat/s are easier in the middle set then that leaves the flip ups for adults, but their heads are a little near the rear screen without headrests.
something to think about if safety is your thing and buying a flip up seat bongo.
thanks everyone i will pass this info on.

Can someone (chipman) show a pic of these fiendish flip up seats with headrests - I thought you'd have trouble closing the rear door with them in place
