1st Gear stuck?

Post by cardiff996 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 12:49 pm

Hi,

The Bongo stuck in 1st gear today when the wife was driving kids to school first thing, its an automatic box.
She left the van while taking the kids to school and when she go back in it worked OK?

I see there are some comments on this being a ECU fault, would an intermitant fault like this be ECU. or is it more likley to be a physical problem like, oil etc?

It was a cold night last night, so could it be the auto box needed a bit a warming up.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatfully received.
Cheers

Could be Aitch, will see if it happens again.
I did mention this to her, but she did not know.

Would the hold button reset once engine is turned off then on?

Thanks for the reply
