Post by M 80NGO » Sat Sep 17, 2011 6:09 pm

Is there a how to for removing the rear interior trim panels as i need to fit some rear speakers and as we know it always speeds up the process if you can pre plan the job.

Thanx, Pete.

Not sure. But I partially removed mine to do some waxoyling.

They are held in by metal spring clips, which clip into the bodywork via plastic lined holes. You might find that one or two will break at the point where they are connected to the plastic panel, so be careful when you prize them off.

Make sure the clips don't drop off and go down inside the inner skin.

In short the panels seem to be spring clipped on, so should be fairly easy to do. I started to pull mine off at the seat belt hole by the sliding door.

You'll also need to unbolt the rear bottom seatbelt retainers, and it may make it easier for access to remove the rear-most seat as well - if you want to remove the panel completely.
