Glow plugs

Post by lazyb5 » Sun Jun 05, 2011 8:00 pm

I decided to replace the glow plugs , usual suspect chugging and smoking. For once the procedure was quite easy plugs not stuck, coppaslipped the new ones and torqued them up. :D Starts lovely, then i altered the idle revs of both the cold start and then the warm idle to the correct revs. Then i noticed someone had turned the tps fully anti clockwise. The van has always had a bit of a surge when changing from 1st to 2nd and i`d changed fluid, filter etc. to no avail. I was reading an old thread from alacrity where he was saying not to adjust too much so i thought i would try. My van is so different you cant feel the changes it is so smooth, so thanks once again for being a great forum. =D>

ps i`ve probably goosed it now haven,t I probably wont start or blow-up tomorrow.
