WHEEL ARCH WELDING

Post by tommywelly » Thu Apr 22, 2010 5:07 pm

This is an update from a previous post.
I have had my wheel arches done at Alexanders in Pemberton, Wigan
He has done a fabulous job and I would reccomend him to anyone
needing wheel arches done.
In Widnes I was quoted £400 to £500 for each panel. He did the job for
£250 (both panels) plus I had bought the Wheel arches for £75.
Unfortunately I do not know how to insert pics (HELP)

It cost me £600 for both, he had to fabricate the metal shape by hand, and unfortunately it kinked by the fuel flap. The guy said, "Oh I could have done a perfect job but not for that cost". I'd have liked the option.

Excellent price for a good result - I reckon he'll have a few more Bongo owner enquiries =D>

Did the price include spraying to blend (invisibly?) with existing paintwork?

Looks a great job, mine is getting ready for this work, but where do you get the wheel arches from for £75?

THE HADRIAN GROUP Phone 01373 865684
They are panels from Fort Transit 2000-2006 (LWB) Part Nos 3053508/3053509
I had to order mine through a dealer as they do not deliver private. They will tell you your nearest dealer.
They need to be cut to fit
Best of luck.

Hi all

Still not got my arches done. :(

Does anyone have contact details for Alexanders, as they appear to have built up a good reputation for Bongo body reapirs on here and they do not seem to be on the database.

Cheers
