Flashing hold light and speedo not working.

Post by mark.hingston » Mon Jun 07, 2010 11:58 am

This is a problem which i have had twice since the weekend, to remedy it i have switched off the engine and restarted.
Is this a common fault? If so what can I do about it?

Cheers.

Hi mark.hingston,

Do you know if your speedo has been chipped, the chip could be faulty or a bad connection..

see if you get a fault code by following the diagnostic procedure in the factsheets. Are there any other symptoms ie dropping out of lock up?

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

When I had this problem I followed a thread on here and removed the instrument panel, tightened the screws on the back and it cured the problem. Search the forum there should be a thread with a pic of the suspect screws.

Thanks for all your thoughts. So it sounds like nothing too serious and I shouldn't postpone my holiday this coming weekend.
BTW we have just returned from the most amazing trip in Europe with the Bongo. Mont Blanc, Italy Austria Germany back to France then home. France passion is a book that lists all the places in France you can stay for F.O.C. Just display the France passion sticker in your window, The owners of the properties are ever so friendly and most of them are campervan owners themselves. All the Aires in France is another guide to where you can stay for free. So if you're off to France this year invest in these books.
