footrests
there are footrests behind the two front seats , when i lower mine to just below horizontal they stop there ,but putting ANY pressure on them causes them to drop down vertically .
is there something i,m missing ,like push/pull them or are they kaput ???? in which case i might as well remove them , then due to less weight this should give more MPG/MPL yeah right !!!!

Re: footrests
Hi , they make extra seats for when parked up, push front seats forward , flip back of seat forward and flip over the footrest and hey presto you have a seat

Or pull it out so its vertical & you can use it as behind seat storage for things like maps, ice scrapers, small rolled up items of clothing, or a light saber...?

Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

Re: footrests
We were shown what they were for when we bought the Bongo and fifteen months later I still get excited about them - if I'm showing the Bongo to anyone I just HAVE to do the thing with the "little seats" (well, one of them)
Surprising how many people are daft enough to come over and ask for a look around (but then, I look as normal as the next person, and looks can be deceptive!)
Meanwhile, back to use as footrests - if we are on a long journey and I sit in the back and actually need them, I dig something out of the grocery box (tin of soup, or jar of coffee or something) to support the thing so I can actually rest my feet on it.

I keep my light sabre in the flare socket,in the front passenger footwell.Could`ve been purpose built for it.

Re: footrests
Why the reference to "trashy VW". Is there some in joke about tins of peas or something? Do let me know!! I love my Bongo to bits but I'm neither posh enough nor organised enough to carry fresh provisions around, so a few tins in readiness for when the moment strikes (meal wise) come in handy if the footrest needs to be used as a footrest.bobngo wrote:thanks bongoing mad simon, i would never have figured that out.
