Electric Window Blind

Post by bongokar56 » Mon Aug 31, 2009 1:25 pm

Hi All,
One of my electric window blinds has stopped working!
It sounds like something is 'moving' when the switch is pressed but the blind wont go up or down?

Anyone got any helpful fixes? or any info to repair?
#-o
Thanks

have you tried pushing the blind up (if its stuck down) or pulling it down (if its stuck up), just pull with a bit of force at either end of the bar, it might have just jammed?

have you had a look at the sides to see if anything is caught in the runners, if so you will have to strip down the side panel to get behind to the motor to see if theres a problem

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
I have tried the "force" method and short of hanging from the rails, they dont budge (and suffice to say ... I am not a budgerigar!).
So it looks like the brothers tools will have to come out of retirement. =D>

There's a factsheet in the members area on cleaning the blinds that may be of help in gaining access.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
